Training and Development
Training and Development
The internship focuses on the development of professional, administrative, and leadership skills rather than placement in a particular department or unit. Training will consist of a mix of presentations from campus experts and standard training modules. Time will be reserved for discussion and collaboration. Two unique components of this program are the moderated panels and networking events with current staff, as well as Q+A sessions with campus senior officers and administrators.
Eligibility and Application Process
Interns should be current undergraduate students who are available to participate during the scheduled time for the course (TBD) in the Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters. To be considered for the program, students must submit an application as well as provide 1-2 references. Priority will be given to students who are currently employed in an academic department or other unit in the Division of Academic Affairs. Students may currently be working in a variety of positions - general office assistant, financial assistant, peer advisor, etc. Departments will also be given the opportunity to nominate students for the program.
The application period for 2024-25 has closed. Applications for the 2025-26 program will open in Winter, 2025.
